MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
The Vancouver Prowlers Men's Rec Hockey Club offers 3 levels of Membership; Franchise, Farm and Fringe. Franchise Memberships are capped at 15 and are currently sold out. If any Franchise Memberships become available, priority goes to Farm Team Players and then Fringe Players.
The best way to become a Franchise Player is to sign up as a Farm or Fringe player to get yourself into the "system".
The number of available spots are determined each summer.
Franchise Player Membership
For those who intend to play most of the scheduled games
Initial Cost: $400 (money is required before your spot on the team is secured.)
Memberships available: 15
Notes: Franchise players will be required to pay any outstanding costs owed, if any.
Farm Player Membership
For those who want to play, but cannot commit to most of the games due to work, travel, family etc. Essentially, this is pre-paid drop-in at a reduced rate.
Cost: $200 (payable before first game)
Memberships available: 3-5
Includes:
- 11 games (details below)
- $20 drop-in rate if you exceed 11 games
Details: Farm Players will be “called up” when one of the 15 franchise players cannot attend. Farm players will be priority ranked i.e. if there are 5 farm players they will be ranked from 1-5. If there is a roster spot available for a game, player rank #1 will get the first opportunity to attend the game. If he cannot attend, priority goes to #2 and so on. If player #2 attends the game, his ranking falls to #5 for the following game and #3 moves to priority rank #2 etc. In this case, the #1 ranked farm player would stay #1 until he accepts an invitation to play.
Fringe Player
For those that wish to play only occasionally. Fringe players are called up if available spots are not filled with Farm Players.
Cost: $20 per game, $25 including 2 beers.
