Giles Stepping Up

If
you look up Giles in the dictionary you'll get a
definition of "Saint" or "shield bearer". Saint may
be pushing it, but winger Colin Giles has geared up
his armor and arsenal, becoming a warrior for the
Prowlers.
In 20 games last year, Giles struggled at times only producing 2 goals and 4 assists in that span. Part of a lack of production had to do with a majority of play on defense, but with a more consistent position up front on the wing, Giles production has already surpassed last year's totals.
Benefiting from playing with the dynamic duo of Brendan Wilson and Peter Koulouris, Giles has scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 11 games for the Prowlers and is on pace for a 20 point season. Something Colin attributes to his hard work during the off-season.
"I didn't stop after the playoffs last year and went straight into summer hockey on the North Shore" said Giles. "It was Div 1, so it was a good pace of hockey and I was able to develop my skills and get a running start at the Prowlers season"
Those developed skills were evident last game vs MOFO when he set up Koulouris in the slot with a saucer pass from the deep corner.
"He's faster and able to get to loose pucks more quickly" says Captain Chad Scott. "The hard work is paying off, it's nice to see the pucks go in for him"
With 4 points in his last 4 games (3g, 1a), Giles is hitting his stride and will look to continue his hot hand versus the Kodiaks on Friday.
