Prowlers Promote McLean

The Vancouver Prowlers Men's rec hockey team promoted tough guy Trevor McLean to a full-time position on Wednesday. McLean, who played on the Farm Team last season, is filling in the void left by the other McLean; Drew. Drew recently had knee surgery and will not be ready until a few games into the season. He will play on the Farm when his knee is ready and Trevor will take a more active role.

Taylor Agrees to Terms

The XM Radio Prowlers have avoided arbitration and come to terms with restricted free agent centre Mike Taylor. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not released. Taylor had filed for an arbitration hearing last week and one was scheduled for a hearing in the coming weeks. That hearing was successfully avoided with the two parties settling on a reported 2-year deal. Although he had a slow start, Taylor had a breakout season last year with the Prowlers garnishing 21 goals and 17 assists in 29 games. Those 38 points put him 2nd in team scoring behind fellow restricted free agent Pete Koulouris. Read More...
