Howie, Pk Extend Win Streak

On Monday night the Prowlers were able to keep a fantastic start to the season going with a hard fought 4-2 victory over the River Sharks. It took a full team battling together to win this war.

The referees decided it was time to make an early season statement by punishing the mighty Prowl' with 20 mins in penalties. The men in black would, however, kill all the Sharks PP opportunities and the biggest PK'er on the team, Mike Howie, made sure of it.

Peter Koulouris would open the scoring late in the first on a tip in from a Dogherty feed. Wilson, who was sandpaper all game and eventually got ejected for "Caring About Winning", put the Prowlers up 2 in the second. The River Sharks would make a push and were most certainly the better of all the teams the Prowlers have preyed on all year. They would tie it up in the third before Duncan and Hopson combined to slay the Sharks. Marcheen would then render the Sharks toothless with a dagger of a goal late in the game.

Another excellent team perfomance and they are now rewarded with an extended break before hitting the ice again Oct 9th vs. the White Hawks.
