Moving On Up

The Vancouver Prowlers Hockey Club will start the new year in a new division, having being moved up to Division 9 over the Christmas break. Their 11-4-1 record was the deciding factor as the ASHL completed their 2nd and final balancing act of the season.

The Prowlers face some old rivals in div 9 including Venom, Outlaws and Tribe Canada, 3 teams that the boys in black have had some heated battles with.

"This speaks to the strength and skill of this team" said GM Steve Hopson. "We started in division 13 when we came into this league 4 years ago, and within that short period we have moved up considerably."

"The competition is going to a lot more fierce, the parity of this division is unbelievable" states founding Prowler Jeff Duncan.

The Prowlers have the most points in the division with 23, but will start in last place since the standings are based on a teams winning percentage within their current division. The Prowlers have a single lose against Tribe Canada.

This means they have some work to do to improve their standing in time for the playoffs in April. That starts with a January 4th game against the Polar Beers (7-6-2-0)
