The Vancouver Prowlers Hockey Club today announced a pre-season exhibition game against the Danglers Hockey Club to be held Thursday, August 28th at the Burnaby 8 Rinks Sport Complex.

The exhibition, named The Reggie Dunlop Cup, is part of the Prowlers ongoing Summer Shift program and will be a pre-cursor to the 2008-09 season opener a week after.

"We're excited that we were able to put this game together" said GM Chad Scott. "This just adds more value to the team and our program and gives an unofficial start to the season for both the Prowlers and the Danglers"

The Danglers, who play in Division 14 @ 8 Rinks, finished with a 16-12-2 record for 34 pts last season and went on to capture the Division Title in a thrilling double overtime final against the Burnaby Chiefs. The Prowlers fell short last season, losing in the Division 10 semi-finals.

The friendly match starts @ 9:30pm on Thursday, August 28th.
