After losing game two 4-2, the XM Radio Prowlers came
back to win the sudden death overtime period to knock
off the Evil Beavers and advance to the semi-finals.
XM wanted to advance without the extra frame and things looked good, dominating the 2nd period, taking a 2-1 lead on goals by Martin Franklin and Dave Parrott. Franklin's goal was a beautiful tip in between the legs off a Trevor McLean shot from the point. Parrott scored early in the 3rd on the rush, taking a pass out of the corner from Daryl Goeson.
The Prowlers fell asleep for a a few minutes in the 3rd, allowing 3 goals within 4 minutes, leading to the 3 on 3 overtime period.
But it didn't take long, as Greg Clark, Mike Taylor and Wilson worked the puck around the boards on the a cycle that looked like the Sedin's, but this time they got the biscuit to a wide open Wilson in the slot, who wasted no time and buried the puck and sending the Prowlers to the next round.
Semi-Finals are on Thursday the 24th with the opponent TBD.
