Prowlers Look to End Goal Drought

The Vancouver Prowlers Hockey Club have their sights set on Tuesday's game against the Mad Hatters with the hopes of ending their 2 game scoreless streak. But they need to do it without sniper forward Pete Koulouris.

Koulouris has left the team to play overseas in Greece, his ancestral country, leaving the Prowlers without their top point getter.

The leave of absence was planned from the start says captain Steve Hopson.

"Pete was signed with the knowledge he could only commit to the middle of October. He was obviously a big part of our hot start, but he is just one man."

"We need to find ways of scoring without him, and I know there are a few guys that can step up to the challenge. I'm optimistic that we'll see guys play that role on Tuesday."

The Prowlers have been shutout by Satan and Strangers, 2-0 and 3-0 respectively, the past 2 games and have fallen from their 1st place division standing.

The Mad Hatters (4-4-0) are a team heading in the opposite direction winning their last 3 games compared to the Cats 3 game losing streak.
