Prowlers Lose Tight One

The XM Radio Prowlers were looking for their 3rd
straight win Saturday night against the division
leading Red Devils, but fell short 4-2 in a tightly
contested match.
Backup goalie Dean Kuntz got the start for the Prowlers and played a solid game, stopping 21 of 24 shots. Peter Koulouris and Brendan Wilson got the goals for XM, both assisted by Colin Giles. That tandem was the best line of the night and had multiple chances to tie the game after giving up a 2-1 lead and then falling down 3-2.
The best chance of the night happened when Koulouris sprung Wilson on a breakaway late in the 3rd, but Wilson couldn't tuck it past a strong Devil's goaltender. The Devils then added an empty netter in the last minute to take the game 4-2.
The loss wasn't due to a lack of effort, as all 3 lines and defensemen played very well, but just didn't get the results. They take on the Sutton Selects this coming Friday.
