Rowdy Outlaws Russell Prowlers

Just 3 nights after the Prowlers won their season opener 3-2, they had their lunch handed to them by the Outlaws with a 12-5 slacking. Despite having almost twice as many players on the bench, the Prowlers got a wake-up call early into the season.

With their first string goalie Mike Howie away at pre-natal class, the Prowlers learned how much they rely on their goaltender, probably too much as backup Daren Goeson was thrown into the fire facing 2 on 1's and breakaways with very little help from the Defence. Poor Goesen had 31 shots peppered at him. The Prowlers are now looking into having the Lamaze classes moved to the 8 rink complex.

It didn't help that the Outlaw forwards were cherry picking all night, but there were a couple bright spots as Peter Koulouris and Pat Dogherty had some chemistry brewing combining for 6 points. Jay Young and Colin Giles also had some pretty goals, each potting their first of the year in this young season.

"We learned alot about ourselves tonight" said Defenceman Jeff Duncan. "That was a embarrassing, horrible game we played, but it's in the past and we'll now focus on our night game. What done is done, can't change the outcome, so we'll be better next game."

The Prowlers have a 11 day break before they take on Tribe Canada on the 19th.
